Minera Nueva
Creation 2018 - as part of the International Arte Flamenco festival
2 chairs, 3 instrumentalists around a tablao on which a dancer moves: In a sober staging and an auroral light, a flamenco guitar, sometimes virtuoso, sometimes a modern echo of the traditional cante, dialogues with the dance. The performers tell a timeless story together that draws on the fundamentals of Andalusian flamenco. The musical and choreographic tableaux follow one another and the spectator experiences contrasting emotions. The dancer's body shapes gestures, but also sound. The song or the zapateado mixes with the other instruments and we come to wonder who, the dancer or the musicians, sets the tempo. Unless each of the performers in turn becomes the guide of this musical and choreographic journey.
The Minera Nueva show is on Pass culture.
